Kelowna council has started updating the city’s business licence application and renewal process.
The first set of changes is intended to help improve and simplify the process.
Some changes are expected to take place this fall. A $25 application fee will be charged to new applicants to cover processing costs and a $25 fee to those who are late paying for their renewal. Licence codes and descriptions will be updated to better reflect businesses operating in the city.
There are currently about 9,500 active business licences in Kelowna.
