Have you ever fantasized of quitting your job, selling everything you own and escaping to a tropical island.

Well, Chad Turner of Ontario did exactly that and moved to Bali to surf and teach yoga.

He also started Yoga Design Lab to develop a range of yoga mats made of natural tree rubber and recycled plastic bottles.

The business has exploded and the eco-mats are now for sale at 300 stores and yoga studios in 50 countries, including Invati Yoga in Lake Country, Vernon Yoga and Studio Be in Vernon.

You can also purchase one of the regular or travel-size mats in dozens of colours and designs online at YogaDesignLab.com or Amazon.ca.

Regular mats are $84 and travel-sized $59.

The mats are often referred to as functional pieces of art with design names such as Aegean green, dreamscape, kaleidoscope, geo blue, Tribeca sand, optic gold and Harajuku.

There's also yoga mat towels and hand towels.

One dollar from every sale is donated to support Urban Youth Yoga Programs.
