The northern end of downtown Westbank is getting a new development.
A three-storey, 2,230-square-metre commercial building was approved Tuesday by West Kelowna council for Highway 97 northbound and Old Okanagan Highway.
The project, to be built on vacant land, will include a pharmacy, doctors’ offices and other office premises.
“Overall, this is something we want,” Mayor Doug Findlater said. “it’s part of Westbank revitalization, which we’ve struggled with.”
“This is a pretty neat development and a nice addition to the downtown,” Coun. Rick de Jong said.
