After three local sold-out screenings of the anti-abortion film Unplanned, the Kelowna Right to Life Society has booked eight screens at the Landmark Grand 10 for mass showings on the morning of Aug. 3.
For the 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. showings, you have to buy tickets for $12 in person today at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Dr., between 10 a.m. and noon or at Immaculate Conception Church, 839 Sutherland Ave., between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Tickets for the 10 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. screenings are on sale now online at LifeCollective.IO/Kelowna/Events.
Unplanned is a biographical drama based on the memoir of Abby Johnson, a former clinic director at Planned Parenthood who became an anti-abortion activist.
The previous two showings at Xtreme in West Kelowna and the single screening at Grand 10 in Kelowna sold out in less than half an hour.
Per screen, Unplanned is the second-highest grossing film in North America this week behind Spider-Man: Far From Home, and is the top-grossing film in Canada for private screenings.
