Actor Ron Perlman is starring in a movie now being shot in the Okanagan.

Best-known for his performance as Hellboy in the 2004 superhero action film of the same name, Perlman is a lead character in The Last Victim.

Also starring Ali Larter and Ralph Ineson, the film will be shot for 25 days at a variety of locations in the North and South Okanagan.

“A film shoot with this calibre of talent is once again the result of what our region offers filmmakers,” Jon Summerland of the Okanagan Film Commission said in a news release.

“To have this kind of film production activity here in November is a boost to our local economy,” Summerland said.

Larter stars as an anthropologist trapped in the desolate, unforgiving New Mexico wilderness, struggling to stay one step ahead of a strange gang of outcasts being led by a misguided and ruthlessly terrifying idealist, played by Ineson.

Perlman is a small town sheriff trying piece together the events of a violent night with no witnesses and few clues.
