Police are warning about an "overly potent" batch of drugs in Kelowna.

Kelowna RCMP issued a warning Thursday after receiving information that  there may be a quantity of GHB, crystal meth and other synthetic drugs circulating right now that appear to be extremely potent — and extremely dangerous.

"There is no such thing as a 'bad batch' of synthetic drugs, because there is no good batch," police said in a news release. "Every tablet or dose represents a potentially serious health risk whether that be short term or long term."

"There is no way to know what you are eating when you swallow a tablet."
