The Candyman can't, at least not in Kelowna.
Police believe a 29-year-old Surrey man was selling THC-laced candy to near babies when they nabbed him outside a downtown grocery store.
The Downtown Enforcement Unit thought the root-beer flavoured candy being sold from a Mustang might induce more than a sugar high.
A sample of the candies was sent to the lab and analysis showed them to contain THC, the principal psychoactive element of marihuana.
The man was originally released without charges, but now faces a potential charge of possession of a controlled substance.
