A weeklong Okanagan crime spree has landed two suspects in police custody, with one facing 14 charges.
Kelowna RCMP stopped a vehicle on Feb. 9 for making an illegal pass on Enterprise Way.
“The driver provided a false name and was found to be in possession of stolen property, including the Nissan Xterra which had apparently been purchased using another person's identification that was found in his pocket,” said RCMP Const. Kris Clark.
Police have since charged Cody Parent, 21, with a long list of crimes in connection with a string of break-ins where access cards to apartment buildings were stolen and storage lockers in underground parking were ransacked.
The investigation into the robberies continues, with some crimes committed in Vernon and Enderby.
Parent is still in custody, facing charges of:
• Possession of Stolen Property
• Fail to Comply with Probation
• Fraud Over $5,000
• Break and Enter with Intent
• Theft Over $5,000
• Theft Under $5,000
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
A 31-year-old man from Lions Bay also faces charges in connection with nearly 20 different investigations in the Kelowna area.
