A second newly delivered vehicle reported stolen from Penticton Toyota last week has been located - this one a little farther afield than the first SUV recovered earlier this week.
Kelowna RCMP said Thursday that a grey 2014 Toyota 4Runner was recovered Wednesday afternoon parked next to an apartment building on Franklyn Road in Rutland.
Const. Kris Clark said a resident noticed the 4Runner had been sitting in the visitors' parking area for a few days. The SUV still had plastic coverings over its seats.
Clark could not provide any information about possible damage.
"We're hoping it's probably in decent condition," he said.
The vehicle was taken to a secure lot owned by a Kelowna towing company, where RCMP investigators carried out a thorough examination.
Four brand-new vehicles were taken from the Penticton Toyota lot on Skaha Lake Road hours after being dropped off by an auto carrier on the night of Jan. 14.
One black Rav4 was found Tuesday parked outside an apartment block in the 600 block of Winnipeg Street in Penticton. It was undamaged and had only seven kilometres showing on its odometer.
Meanwhile, police continue to search for the two other missing vehicles - a blue Rav4 and a bronze special-edition Tundra pickup truck. The four stolen vehicles had a combined value of about $175,000.
