The issue of Israel as a victim is baffling and mind-boggling.
Here is a country that refuses to obey United Nations resolutions for almost half a century because of its illegal occupation of Palestinian land, yet it is applauded by the Western World with the U.S. at the top and Canada close behind.
Reading letters to the editor in the Okanagan is not the same as reading them in Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal papers and certainly not compared to those in Britain, France and other European countries.
If readers want an objective perspective of the issue at hand, I suggest they read "Stop pretending the U.S. is an uninvolved, helpless party in the Israeli assault on Gaza" in The Guardian.
