Readers should be aware that so-called secure underground parking may not be so secure afer all.
I had a few items stolen from my 1991 Honda Civic on Feb. 2.
Someone smashed the driver's window and destroyed the interior pretty badly. The worst part is, my car was parked in my so-called secure underground parking garage behind Superstore. It was the only vehicle targeted. I live in a 50-plus building.
Obviously, someone drove in behind a tenant that was coming in, who didn't wait to ensure the security gate was safely closed behind them before proceeding to their stall.
I took my husband's truck to work for my shift Saturday instead of my little car. I sure wish I hadn't now.
I am still looking for serial numbers and receipts. I will have more details for the RCMP as soon as possible.
Here is what was stolen:
- JVC Arsenal KD-A525 CD deck, black in colour.
- I believe the amp was a Clarion 280-watt, also black in colour.
- I don't recall the make of the 15-inch subwoofer, but it was in a beige wood, self-made box.
- I also had a laptop and camera stolen. The camera was a Panasonic Lumix 14MP 3D DMCZS.
There was also a Sector 49 longboard stolen as well, with colourful Rastafarian designs on the bottom.
If you could please keep your eyes and ears peeled for me, that would be
great. Thank you for all your help in advance.
My biggest concern is locating these thieves so no one else has the same thing happen to them.
