Trust Chief Stewart Phillip, The Daily Courier and Penticton Herald to regurgitate all the perceived wrongs done to the Penticton Indian Band at a time when the Idle No More movement is bringing out more positive attitudes toward First Nations.
One has only to look at the progress achieved in Osoyoos and Westbank, to see what can be accomplished when natives work to improve themselves, rather than bellyaching constantly, wanting others to do things for them.
As for Chief Spence and the misplaced funds of her Attawapiskat band, which Chief Phillip claims is merely a ploy by the federal government to discredit her: perhaps if Phillip has evidence that can exonerate Spence, then he should be contacting Indian Affairs with said evidence, else he should remain silent.
