I would like to thank the staff and doctors involved with the surgery and care of my husband during his recent hip replacement at Kelowna General Hospital.
He received good pre-operative information to prepare himself for the upcoming surgery. He also received excellent care during the surgery and post-operatively.
There was a lot of good information and support made available to us, including different forms of therapy available and exercises for him to do at home in between visits with the therapists and doctors.
He followed through with the therapy and did the recommended exercises at home and he continues to do so. I believe this has helped his recovery to be more successful and fairly short.
He only had to spend three days in the hospital and it has now been seven weeks since his surgery and he is already able to drive and to walk with merely a cane.
Everyone worked together well and did their jobs well, therefore the recovery is going well also.
