Kraft Foods, with the CBC, NHL and NHL Players' Association, worked to develop the Hockeyville concept, whereby communities across Canada would compete to be called Hockeyville, host a game segment on Hockey Night in Canada, and receive $25,000 from Kraft - for upgrading their local arena.
Given the propensity for signage on the Westside, I guess I should not be totally surprised that any free monies, would be assigned to that compulsive behaviour .
What I fail to see is how the committee could equate the erection of another sign with the designated goal from Kraft, regarding the community arena.
The whole community of Kelowna - east and west - came together for this cause, for amateur hockey.
I'd like to know who sits on the committee and hear at least once how the rationale was developed.
