I wish to congratulate Marlon Bartram on his excellent letter regarding the subject of abortions in Canada.
What alarms me is that we in Canada have absolutely no laws regarding abortion.
There are very few countries in the world that fall into this category. Do a simple Google search on any country you like, such as "Abortion Laws in XXXXXX." I did this for Sweden and found a wealth of information.
Mr. Harper is wrong when he says that Canadians have no interest in opening this subject.
I believe Marlon Bartram when he quotes the polls that 80 per cent of Canadians believe gender selection by abortion should be prohibited in our land.
This subject alone makes opening the subject worthwhile.
