Re: the article Mexico 'really mad' at Canada in the Sept. 16 edition.
There is a discrimination against Mexicans.
Members of my family, who are hard-working business people in Mexico, have visited several times and contributed considerably as tourists to the economy in the past.
Now, at age nearing 75, they planned to attend my son's wedding and had applied for their visas three months prior.
Of course, there was a fee for this. After two months, their documents were returned, visas denied without explanation.
Needless to say, they did not make it to the wedding.
It is bad enough that a visa is required, but it's impossible to get one.
I encourage all Mexican Canadians to send a letter of protest to the minister of immigration.
It's time for a change.
