No need for the boo-ing

Print PDF
I'm a Yank, but Canada is my second home. I'm 61 and played hockey all my younger years in B.C.
I love Canada and thank you for giving us the game of hockey, but, on Saturday, Kelowna Rocket fans booed the bloody injury of my favourite team and one of its players, Russian Portland Winterhawks player Kirill Borebev.
Come on, people. This is just a sport and a game, and it really doesn't matter who won. Let's celebrate the game.
Long live hockey, Canada, the U.S., our sport and our freedom!
