For those who are wondering what is happening, or is not, regarding a pain management clinic at Kelowna General Hospital, there has been some superficial correspondence from the Ministry of Health and Interior Health about building a business case for a proper pain clinic, but nothing of substance.
I believe there are MLAs of both parties advocating for this.
This is a key time for you to write to your MLA and IH to address the needs of chronic pain sufferers.
There have been some interim measures taken, which will mostly deal with acute pain issues (which is sorely needed and appreciated), but this does not address the issue of those dealing with chronic day-to-day pain.
I urge you to turn up the heat and let's get this happening with our new updated KGH.
