Gateway or Keystone makes no difference.
If you use any type of transportation that uses a fossil fuel source, and protest or speak out against any pipeline development, you're a hypocrite.
I've got my car, my bus gets its fuel, I'm looked after, but you, I don't care.
This reminds me of what my mother used to say "the difference between right and wrong is who's doing it."
I know it's hard for anyone to stand in front of a mirror and say "damn, I am a hypocrite."
The truth is simple. Our world runs on fossil fuels and, yes, if an accident happens, our environment suffers.
I think our energy would be better spent on making pipelines safer not extinct.
We have forced ship builders to use a double-hull system, why not a pipeline? A pipeline in a pipeline, at least in the very sensitive areas.
Expensive? Yes, but outside of a major earthquake or bombing, it would stop environmental disasters. I wonder how long it would take for the protesting in Northern B.C. to stop if Alberta closed the valve to their supply.?
What might the saying be: "let those northern bastards walk in the cold!"
