Mother and daughter authors Janet Walmsley and Jenny Story will be signing copies of their books at the Indigo store in Orchard Park mall from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The pair are long-time residents of Vernon who now live in Vancouver.
Mom Walmsley’s book, The Autistic Author and Animator, is about her autistic daughter.
“It is a heartfelt story which relays the importance of perseverance, courage, and strength and revealing a mother who was her daughter’s rock right from the beginning and did everything in her power to help her daughter see the light at the end of the dark tunnel,” according to a press release.
“My book is a feel-good story but also has it moments with the ups and downs, with a triumph at the end,” says Walmsley in the release.
Story’s book, Dysnomia, is a young-adult fantasy that’s selling well. A sequel is already in the works.
