Street Fest

UBC alumni and students enjoyed a fun-filled evening at UBC Okanagan’s 2018 Homecoming Street Fest.

UBC Okanagan has big plans for its second annual Homecoming, which takes place Sept. 27-28.

A comedy dinner with CBC Debaters host Steve Patterson, golf tournament, UBCO Heat soccer games, scavenger hunt and street fest are among the events.

“We are looking forward to welcoming UBC alumni back to campus for our second annual Homecoming,” said Adrienne Nolan, executive director of development and alumni engagement. “It’s a wonderful time for both alumni and students at UBC Okanagan, and for the wider community to visit and enjoy the experience."

The Homecoming kicks off with a breakfast for students and alumni, and a faculty showcase expo on Friday.

On Saturday, Heat soccer matches at 1 and 3 p.m. on the Nonis Sports Fields are free to attend.

A scavenger hunt at 5 p.m. costs $20 for a team of four.

A street fest from 5 to 9 p.m. will feature food, drinks, carnival games and prizes.

Supper with Steve (Patterson) costs $65 and starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Commons. It includes a pre-reception, long-table style dinner, performance by Patterson and dessert reception.

The UBCO Heat and Heat Alumni golf tournament goes Saturday at the Okanagan Golf Club.
