Ambassadors

A strong slate of candidates led to the largest West Kelowna Youth Ambassador Team yet. Michael Sebesta and Madison Orsi (front) are the new West Kelowna Youth Ambassadors. Dayton Lowen and Riley Schlackl are the first vice ambassadors and Mya Powell and Cameron Verrier are the second vice ambassadors.

Thanks to a high number of quality candidates, the 2019-20 West Kelowna Youth Ambassador team is the largest yet, with three young women and three young men.

Michael Sebesta and Madison Orsi are the new West Kelowna Youth Ambassadors. Dayton Lowen and Riley Schlackl are the first vice ambassadors and Mya Powell and Cameron Verrier are the Second Vice Ambassadors.

Pageant weekend saw royalty come from as far away as Vancouver Island for the event, which included a tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood as the opening number with outgoing ambassadors and candidates dressed in costumes designed by Judith L’Abbé.

In the judged awards categories, the talent award in memory of the last Pierre Dumas went to Madison Orsi.

The runway award went to Riley Schlackl.

Michael Sebesta won the personal speech competition, while Dayton Lowen took the sponsor’s speech.

Riley Schlackl won the congeniality award in a secret vote by her peers.

In the non-judged awards, Kira Mass-Davidson and Patrick Charette won the breakthrough award; Enrica Guidi and Vanessa Duncan took the Blossom award; Dayton Lowen, Michael Sebesta and Cameron Verrier won the Youth Citizenship award; Riley Schlackl and Madison Orsi won the All-Around award and Mya Powell won the Leadership award.
