Down a cold one this month and help animals at the same time.
Wings restaurants and pubs in B.C., including the Kelowna and West Kelowna locations, will donate $1 from the sale of every pint of Fiji Blond beer, the pubs’ house brew, to the local SPCA.
This is the second year Wings is running the Pints for Paws fundraiser at all 11 of its B.C. locations.
Last year, $4,000 was raised.
This year, the goal is $5,000.
“We thought of doing the program for only one night, but we wanted to make it as big as possible (and made it a month) in hopes of reaching our $5,000 goal,” said Wings brand and marketing manager Jeff Perham.
“June is the official start of summer, so why not help prevent animal cruelty by simply having a cold beer on a hot summer day.”
