Ruth Hanbury is Summerhill Pyramid Winery's new consumer direct sales
manager.
Summerhill Pyramid Winery is growing again. They've hired new staff and won more awards. The Cipes 2010 Vintage has been awarded the only medal (silver) in all North America at the 2012 Effervescents du Monde competition, held in Dijon, France.
They have hired Ruth Hanbury, hailing from Manchester, England as the consumer direct sales manager. "Now that Bill C-311 has become law in Canada, and we are able to ship wine across provincial borders, we have created this new position," said Summerhill CEO Ezra Cipes.
"Ruth is responsible for the service of our individual customers who order from us directly, and who join our wine club. She is also responsible for marketing these services and building this clientele."

Clarke country
Country 100.7, the Okanagan's country station has hired Casey Clarke as one of their morning hosts. Clarke, known for his work on CMT, is a highly respected member of the country music community. He will host the Casey Clarke Show with Roo Phelps weekday mornings.
David Larsen, Newcap Okanagan program director says the addition of Casey to Country 100.7 is great news for country fans in the Okanagan. "Roo has been doing a terrific job hosting our morning show and is really excited to join forces with Casey in the new year.
"We are very lucky to have a guy with Casey's resume come onboard and are excited to have Casey, his wife Sue and their two girls, Macey and Maggie make the move to the Okanagan."
Casey will continue his work with developing/hosting shows for CMT and his
nationally syndicated radio programs through Casey Clarke Productions from his new base in the Okanagan.

Party Parisian style
How would you like a private Parisian party at your home this holiday season? Paul Moran and Stephanie Noel will come to your home and will travel anywhere from Big White to Vancouver Island to make your party special. They co-ordinate and cater everything from stand up Champagne and canapés parties to multiple-course sit-down dinners with wine
pairings.
Both Moran and Noel share a love of cooking and a strong desire to succeed. Noel left Quebec to pursue a culinary
career in Vancouver. For five years, she worked at West in Vancouver under the tutelage of Chef David Hawksworth, before meeting Moran.
The pair moved to Nice, France, where they worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants on the Cote D'Azure. They returned to Canada and married in 2010, but their love of French cuisine was so strong, the pair moved to Paris.
They were approached to manage restaurants in Paris, London, and New York, however, they missed Canada and returned to the Okanagan this year with dreams of opening their own restaurant in 2013. Until then, you can have them as your own private chefs.
If Paul Moran's name sounds familiar, it is because he won the Vancouver Rising Star cooking competition.
You can reach the pair by calling

Change with the times
The world keeps changing, and the way we do business is constantly evolving.
In the 60s, plastics changed the products we use. In the 80s, computers changed how we work. In the 90s, the Internet changed how the world communicated, and now, mobile technology is changing the way we reach each other.
To keep ahead of the curve, businesses must adapt to the altered landscape that is the new reality, and to facilitate that, Csek Creative along with Vista Radio and Cloud SFY are holding a Mobile Revolution conference Nov. 29 at Kelowna's Rotary Centre for the Arts.
Tickets are going fast and can be purchased at MobileRevolutionNow.com.
