If you didn't know your kids were being
exposed to all the graphic detail of a triple-X pornography movie at school, where the heck have you been?
It's not enough to teach kids who still believe in the Easter Bunny about same-sex couples; it's vital, so the experts say, that our kids know what these same-sex couples do in the privacy of their bedrooms.
Didn't Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau say
famously the government has no business in the bedrooms of the nation? How does it even qualify as education to teach someone who isn't old enough to have sex about every possible way they could have sex?
As if this wasn't troubling enough, the leaders of B.C.'s and Ontario's education systems have also decided to teach kids they might be transgendered.
You heard right. Kids who haven't reached puberty are being taught that when they do reach puberty, they might
actually be headed in the wrong direction and will require thousands of dollars' worth of hormone therapy followed by hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of surgery.
I know transgendered people; they can attest this is a huge mistake. Kids aren't sexual beings, and raising the question of whether a girl is really a boy trapped in a girl's body or vice-versa is like asking whether a candle is AC or DC.
But, alas, unfettered by common sense, the proponents of transgenderism argue a couple kids out of a thousand might face some degree of confusion over their gender, and hence argue that therefore our publicly funded education systems must teach our kids - all of 'em - that they might really be members of the opposite sex.
What the transgenderists have failed to demonstrate is that the number of kids they end up needlessly confusing isn't greater than the number of kids they believe they help. They freely admit most kids they've encouraged to live as members of the opposite sex for as long as a decade actually wind up abandoning the whole idea of gender re-assignment (sex change) once they enter their teens. So why bother? What guarantee is there that some kids won't continue with gender re-assignment only to realize before it's too late they are not trapped in the wrong body?
There's also the risk of creating false positives through the use of hormone blockers. These drugs are prescribed to delay the actualization of whichever gender a child was born with, and they're freely given to any kids who express some degree of "confusion" over their gender. No safety net, except of course for the usual morass of government paperwork.
How do the "experts" guarantee that once the onset of a child's gender is delayed through pharmaceutical disruption and that child's living as a member of the opposite sex, that the kid won't become permanently misguided and actually convince himself he's trapped in the wrong body? What measures could, even in theory, be taken to ensure that these therapies don't become self-fulfilling prophecies?
Transgenderism is impossible to provide counselling for, unless the counsellor is a proponent thereof. As such, you can rest assured it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy, the costs of which will be borne by the rest of society.
And we know this because of the dirty little secret that no one in the transgenderist community ever talks about - people who've gone all the way through with gender-reassignment surgery only to realize after it's too late that they and everyone who supported them on their journey to "self-discovery" were dead wrong.
In such cases, there is no recourse, neither medical nor social, that can rectify the massive and abominable error; just more paperwork.
Let's face it, believing people are born with the wrong gender makes as much sense as
believing we could be born with the wrong race. So, why are our kids being exposed to this?
