Cabana's will take on a Las Vegas theme, with a casino room, show girls, live entertainment and classic cocktails. People are asked to "dress to impress" and wear either "glamorous to go go" or "Rat Pack style" to "flamboyant attire," with prizes for best costumes.
Entertainment will include hits from every era with DJ and emcee Funky Phil.
The tickets that included dinner are now sold out, but you can still get the party tickets for $50 and come in from 10 p.m. until close. Tickets are available online at cabanagrille.com.

Las Vegas seems to be a pretty popular theme this year as the Coast Capri Ballroom is offering the same idea.
The Very Vegas New Year's Eve Gala will feature entertainment with Rann Berry and The One Hit Wonders, as well as special guests Diamond Jones and his Las Vegas Revue, as well as the nine-piece R & B All Star Band.
Tickets are $99 and include hors d'oeuvres and champagne at midnight, and are available at the Capri front desk or by phoning 250-860-6060.

For families, especially those with small kids who don't want a terribly late night, you can celebrate New Year's on New York time at the New York New Year's event at Jim Stuart Park.
Festivals Kelowna is producing this family-friendly event that's free to attend. It's geared to appeal to a wide range of ages and tastes. There are three live bands, starting with The Merkins at 6 p.m., followed by Calum Hughes Collective at 7 p.m. and Cod Gone Wild from 8 to 9 p.m. There will also be a Snow Zone activity station and a countdown to midnight in New York at 9 p.m. PST.
There will be glowstick giveaways and fireworks are set to fly from Cold Sands Beach at 9 p.m. to celebrate the New York New Year.
Bring your skates and your patience as the rink will no doubt be packed.
Hot chocolate and hot dogs will be available by donation at the Kelowna Yacht Club. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m.

Also for the family, you'll find the new chapter of the Sons of Italy holding a New Year's party at the Kelowna and District Fish and Game Club, located at 4041 Casorso Rd.
This all-ages event will include a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m., a glass of champagne and snacks at midnight. There will be a DJ spinning both Italian and English music to dance to, and a "befana" (good witch) will come with gifts for all the good children, done in the Italian tradition.
There's a cash bar, with cocktails starting at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $40 for adults, $12 for children ages six to 15, and children five and under are free.

If you're looking for something completely different, you can catch the Neil E. Dee's Danger Thrill Show at Habitat. Watch as Neil lies his bare flesh on the blades of only two swords and has concrete blocks smashed on his chest, shoves a running drill bit into his head and has his head stomped on while his face is crushed in a pile of broken glass.
Also for entertainment, you'll find the Neon Kitten Burlesque dancing and DJ Teddy Rockwell.
