A small fire that started behind a couch in Andre's Electronics forced the evacuation of the store Sunday.
Kelowna firefighters were called to an electrical fire that likely started because of an overloaded electrical cord, said Kelowna Fire Department platoon Capt. Tim Light.
"It was a small fire in a sofa. The fire was put out by the employees," said Light.
The store suffered some smoke damage but later reopened, he said.
Light reminded people not to overload their extension cords.
