Salmon Arm RCMP discovered a large underground drug-growing bunker and arrested one man near Sorrento on Wednesday. Police released details and photos from the bunker on Friday. Police say
approximately 7,000 pot plants were in various stages of growth in the bunker, which had been built
beneath a hay shed on a 32-hectare parcel of land on Wells Bank Road. In addition, the residence on the property had been designed to house a marijuana grow operation. A 52-year-old man from Sorrento will face charges of production of a controlled substance.
