Christmas trees can be dropped off for chipping Dec. 26 to Jan. 31.
Drop-off locations are at the old Kelowna Secondary School site at Richter and Rowcliffe, the Glenmore Landfill, Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre on Asquith Road, Jack Seaton Park in Lake Country and the Peachland compost site on Princeton Road.
Remove all decorations. The trees will be chipped by the regional waste reduction department.
Meanwhile, most garbage and recycling collection will be moved back a day for the Christmas and New Year's weeks. Collections normally scheduled Tuesday to Friday will take place a day later. Monday collections won't be affected. Normal schedules resume Jan. 7.
