Two women in their 70s are in serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car Monday morning.
Kelowna RCMP say the women were walking southbound across Harvey Avenue on the west side of Gordon Drive when they were hit by a Toyota Prius making a left turn from Gordon onto Harvey.
The accident happened about 6:30 a.m. Police said the driver did not see the pedestrians, who are 78 and 79 years old and in the crosswalk.
Both women were still in hospital Monday afternoon, police reported.
Police said their investigation continues and no charges have yet been laid.
