Four robberies and attempted robberies kept police in the North Okanagan busy last Friday.
The Pizza Factory in Vernon, the Quality Greens store in Vernon, the Anchor Inn Liquor Store in Armstrong and Enderby Jewellers were all targetted between 5-11 p.m.
Based on descriptions of the suspects, the robberies appear to be unrelated. An employee of Quality Greens suffered a minor injury when he was hit on the head by the robber. A clerk at the liquor store was tied up, but managed to get free and call police.
Those attempting to rob the pizza parlour and the jewellry store were thwarted in their efforts. The pizza parlor owner grabbed a big knife and chased away the robber, while two men trying to rob the jewellry store ran off after being offered a tray of relatively worthless items.
As of Monday, police had not made any arrests.
