Student paramedics train

Print PDF
Paramedics in training at the Justice Institute of B.C. take part in a demonstration of auto extraction in
conjunction with West Kelowna Fire Rescue on Thursday afternoon at Pick-N-Pull on Stevens Road. The students were divided into teams of four, with one member of each team playing the victim of an auto accident. The fire department "opened up the car" using its Jaws of Life rescue equipment, the students assessed the victim for injuries, and the victim then was removed from the car and loaded onto a stretcher.
