Rockets fall in overtime, now behind 3-0

KAMLOOPS — Forward JC Lipon scored at 3:43 of overtime to give the Kamloops Blazers a 5-4 victory over the Kelowna Rockets in WHL playoff action on Tuesday night. 

With the win, the Blazers lead the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal 3-0. Kamloops plays host to Game 4 on Wednesday and can sweep the Rockets with a win.

Dylan Willick, with two, Brendan Ranford and Kale Kessy also scored for Kamloops. J.T. Barnett, with two, Ryan Olsen and Colten Martin replied for Kelowna. 

Kamloops goaltender Cole Cheveldave stopped 33 shots, while Jordon Cooke and Jordan Whistle of the Rockets combined for 24 stops. Cooke left after the first period, having given up three goals on 11 shots.
