The Kelowna Fripp Warehousing Rockets peppered the California U-16 Wave goalies with 87 shots in two games and breezed to a pair of exhibition hockey victories on the weekend.
Adam Beatty scored three times and assisted on a pair of goals to lead the Rockets' explosive offence in 5-1 and 6-2 wins at Kelowna Memorial Arena.
Three goals and an assist came from Braeden Cyra, while defenceman Kristian Blumenschein contributed a goal and three assists in the two games. Other goal scorers were Erick Noah, Ryan Lawson Gage Colpron and Arlyn Semeschuk. Kobe Oishi helped set up three goals.
The Rockets, who will be manning Salvation Army kettles on Saturday at Canadian Tire and Save On Foods, will also play an exhibition Tier 1 game in Winfield on Sunday against the Pursuit of Excellence beginning at 12:30 p.m.
There are three games remaining before the Christmas break for the Rockets, but they'll be back in full gear on Dec. 27 at the highly touted Richmond International tournament that runs through to Dec. 31.
The Rockets will also play host to the annual Kelowna International Elite Midget Hockey Tournament, Jan. 9-13 at Memorial and Rutland arenas.
