Extreme watering restrictions for some Kelowna utility customers are over.
Stage 4 restrictions for everyone living south of Mission Creek were removed Wednesday night. The restrictions banned all outdoor watering.
Those water users are now back on Stage 1 restrictions, which allow watering three days a week.
A mechanical failure at the Eldorado pump station on Sept. 4 resulted in the shutdown of the station and prompted the heavy-handed restrictions.
The failed parts were replaced but cleaning, disinfecting and tests to prove the water met drinking standards were required to lift the Stage 4 order.
