Candidate

Kyle Delfing, left, stands with People’s Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier.

The owner of a moving company will represent the new People’s Party of Canada in the riding of North Okanagan-Shuswap during this fall’s federal election.

Kyle Delfing, 32, was chosen recently as the party’s candidate over Ian Tribes.

“I am getting into politics because I enjoy helping people,” said Delfing, a resident of the North Okanagan since 2013. “I’ve been able to use Hugo’s Moving to help a few young men get out of poverty, even homelessness, and guide them into a more prosperous lifestyle.

“We need a strong leader for our community,” he said. “I know I am that leader. I’m about great conversation, great people, teamwork, being happy and keeping Canada Canadian.”
