A distraught man with a gun who was locked inside a mobile home in Kelowna was taken into custody by police after several hours of negotiations Wednesday.
About 11:10 p.m., the man was apprehended by members of the RCMP Southeast District Emergency Response Team with the assistance of a police service dog.
The man was transported to hospital, where he was cleared to be held in custody.
He remains in police custody and faces potential charges, police said Thursday morning.
