RCMP are searching for a West Kelowna man wanted in connection with an alleged assault carried out in Kelowna early Monday morning.
At 12:30 a.m. Monday, RCMP were called to the 1700 block of Chapman Place for a report of an assault.
Police found a victim who had suffered what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, who was well known to the victim, had fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
Joel McKinnon Perks, 32, of West Kelowna has been charged criminally in relation to the altercation, and is wanted on arrest warrants for assault and breach of his conditions.
Perks is described as a Caucasian male with tattoos on both arms. He stands six feet two inches, weighs approximately 200 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.
“RCMP warn the general public not to approach Joel Perks. If spotted, call 911 immediately,” said RCMP spokesman Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
