A man was hurt Sunday when he lost control of the golf cart he was driving on a local course's 12th fairway.
The man was thrown from the cart, which then rolled and landed on top of him. He suffered significant ankle, hip, and shoulder injuries, said platoon captain John Kelly of the Kelowna Fire Department. The accident happened about 2 p.m.
"It was just driver error, with the course being pretty wet from the rain," Kelly said, adding alcohol was not a factor.
The man was taken to hospital. Also sent to hospital was a second man who was riding in the cart. His injuries from the mishap were said to be minor.
