Police want to talk to people who may be victims of a Vernon physiotherapist charged with sexual assault.
Stephen Witvoet, 47, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of sexual assault, alleged to have occurred between 2015 and 2016, RCMP said in a news release.
He is expected to appear in court Thursday.
"Witvoet has been employed as a physiotherapist in Vernon for 14 years, beginning in 2005. We believe given the length of time he has been practising, there may be potential victims who have not already reported to the police. We are asking those people to come forward now," said police spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett.
Witvoet is described as 191 centimetres tall (six-foot-three), 80 kilograms (177 pounds) with light brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Vernon RCMP's non-emergency line at 250-545-7171 and ask for Cpl. Canning-Lue of the special victims unit. Cite file number is 2019-11058.
