A 1.3-kilometre-long section of a busy road in West Kelowna will be closed for three hours Tuesday night.
Boucherie Road, between Hayman Road and Stuart Road in the Lakeview Heights neighbourhood, will be shut between 7 and 10 p.m.
The closure will “allow crews to safely and efficiently mow, trim, prune, weed, and blow out irrigation lines,” city spokeswoman Kirsten Jones wrote in a release.
Inconvenience to drivers would be greater if the work was done during the day, Jones says.
Access will be maintained for people who live in homes along the otherwise closed-off route.
The city has spent millions of dollars creating a “wine route” along Boucherie Road with sidewalks, bike lanes, decorative lampposts, banners and other landscaping features.
