Let the games begin!

Athletes from Zone 2, representing the Okanagan, wave to the crowd as they enter Kal Tire Place in Vernon Thursday night for the opening ceremonies of the 2019 Special Olympics BC Winter Games. On Friday and Saturday, more than 600 athletes representing eight zones in B.C., the Yukon and Alberta will compete in eight sports, including five-pin bowling, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, floor hockey, showshoeing and speedskating.
