OAKVILLE, Ont. - Homicide detectives with the Halton Regional Police Service are investigating the suspicious death of an elderly man in Oakville, Ont.

Police say they received a report around 4:40 p.m. Saturday of a man lying on a sidewalk near Allan and Church streets.

They say the 91-year-old-man had obvious injuries to his chest, and despite the efforts of paramedics died at the scene.

Investigators say they want to speak with a man who was seen leaving the area at the time of the incident, and may be a witness.

He is described as, black, 30-to-40 years old, with an average build and shoulder-length hair.

Police say he was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, possibly with a reflective stripe, and was driving a newer model, black, 4-door Volkswagen Golf.

They are urging anyone with information or dash-cam footage pertaining to the case to contact them.
