Toronto police say a man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a 36-year-old woman.

Police say Kathryn Niedoba was found with serious injuries in the city's west end on Thursday.

They say she was taken to hospital, where she died.

Investigators say her injuries were the result of an alleged assault.

They say a 43-year-old local man was arrested on Friday night.

He was scheduled to appear in court to face the manslaughter charge on Saturday.
