Dear Editor:

I read an interesting piece in the Courier this past week from an obvious Liberal supporter chastising Andrew Scheer’s views towards same sex marriage from back in 2005.

Scheer’s views have since softened in that regard as it has for many other Canadians over the past 14 years. It makes me wonder what that same letter writer’s opinion is about the video interview of Justin Trudeau from 2010 where Trudeau stated that “Canada belongs to Quebec?” That is not an acceptable opinion for a Canadian prime minister to have for this British Columbian, I wonder how the Liberal supporter feels about Trudeau’s views from nine years ago?

If we are to hold people accountable for their opinions from 14 years ago, surely we must do the same for opinions expressed by people nine years ago as well.
