Dear Editor:

In a CBC radio interview of May 13, Central Okanagan Similkameen Nicola MP Dan Albas, a Conservative, spoke of his private member’s bill on looting.

Albas knows this bill has less than zero per cent chance of passing because he is introducing it with only a few weeks left in this Parliamentary session. (There are a stack of bills already waiting for passage before the summer break.)

Therefore, Canadians will have absolutely nothing to show for the thousands of tax dollars Albas used to develop his bill.

With this kind of waste, is it any wonder Canada doesn’t have the tax dollars to pay our debts to people like veterans?

Opposition politicians like Albas and the Conservatives need to use tax dollars for the public good rather than stupid political stunts.
