Okanagan Sun defensive back Nate Adams was named B.C. Football Conference defensive player of the week on Tuesday.

Adams intercepted two passes, made three tackles and knocked down one pass in the Sun’s 14-10 loss to the Langley Rams last Sunday at the Apple Bowl.

The Sun (2-3) are now preparing for a road trip to face the 0-5 Kamloops Broncos on Saturday.

Vancouver Island Raiders kicker Nik Hunchak was named special teams player of the week after V.I. beat the Valley Huskers 47-16. He kicked six conversions and a 12-yard field goal. Hunchak also punted eight times for 267 net yards.

V.I. teammate North Rainey was the offensive player of the week after catching seven passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
