The stands were full during Day 2 of the 101st annual Falkland Stampede as cowboys and cowgirls from B.C., Alberta, Manitoba and as far away as Texas competed in nine traditional rodeo events.

The day started with a Cowboy Church service, followed by the parade along Highway 97, which is closed annually for the 30 minute parade, and then almost three hours of continuous action in the arena.

The Stampede ended on Monday, and the village of Falkland returns to its quiet, rural self.
