Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up eight cents, or 0.48 per cent, at $16.76 on 11,857,333 shares. The metals and mining sector was 0.1 per cent higher on the TSX.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Up 67 cents, or 4.27 per cent, at $16.37 on 9,767,911 shares. The financial sector rose half a per cent.
Uranium One Inc. (TSX:UUU). Miner. Down five cents, or 1.73 per cent, at $2.84 on 9,358,991 shares.
UTS Energy Corp. (TSX:UTS). Oil and gas. Down four cents, or 1.11 per cent, at $3.55 on 7,957,294 shares. The energy sector dipped 0.14 per cent on the main index.
Equinox Minerals Ltd. (TSX:EQN). Miner. Up four cents, or 0.86 per cent, at $4.70 on 5,526,759 shares.
MEG Energy Corp. (TSX:MEG). Oil and gas. Up a penny, or 0.03 per cent, at $35.01 on 5,003,356 shares.

Victoria Gold Corp. (TSXV:VIT). Metal ore mining. Up four cents, or 5.88 per cent, at 72 cents on 10,878,185 shares.

Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE). Crude producer. Down $1.43, or 4.77 per cent, at $28.54 on 4,622,252 shares. The spin off of Encana Corp. recorded a 72 per cent drop in operating earnings for the second quarter. Net income amounted to $172 million compared with earnings of $160 million, when it was still combined with Encana (TSX:ECA).
Imperial Oil Ltd. (TSX:IMO). Energy. Down 48 cents, or 1.18 per cent, at $40.18 on 762,885 shares after reporting its second-quarter profit more than doubled compared with a year ago. Revenue totalled $6.14 billion, up from $5.3 billion.
Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. (TSX:POT). Fertilizer. Up $4.69, or 4.61 per cent, at $106.39 on 1,640,519 shares after posting second-quarter profit of $472 million, more than double the $186.2 million it earned in the same 2009 period. Sales climbed to $1.44 billion from $856 million.
Thomson Reuters Corp. (TSX:TRI). Data services. Down 74 cents, or 1.86 per cent, at $38.96 on 1,503,369 shares. The global information provider’s net income in the second quarter fell to US$290 million from year-earlier US$315 million. Overall revenue slipped two per cent to $3.21 billion.
TransCanada Corp. (TSX:TRP). Pipeline. Down 16 cents, or 0.44 per cent, at $36.10 on 2,168,593 shares. The Calgary-based pipeline giant posted lower earnings in the second quarter of $295 million down from $314 million. Revenue slightly dropped to $1.98 billion from $1.92 billion.
