Two-Headed Miracle?

An Egyptian farmer proudly displayed the newest addition to his herd - a two-headed calf born in early July.

According to the calf‘s owner, Sobhy el-Ganzoury, the animal is now in stable condition and expected to live.

El-Ganzoury says he plans to keep the rare calf, which he believes is a sign from God of His greatness.

“God is able to do anything!”

While the two-headed calf is a sight to behold, it is wondered why God would choose a farm animal to demonstrate such a miracle, rather than stop buses from plummeting off the hills of India, save babies from malnutrition or stop devastating oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico.

Climate Change Error

A leading Dutch environmental agency has taken responsibility for a glaring mistake discovered in the 3,000 page report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change last year.

That erroneous claim, which was had no source or reference, is blamed for undermining the credibility of the UN report on climate change, by putting the entire report in question. As a result, the summit met with only limited success on how to limit carbon emissions and contain the worst effects of global warming.

Since that time, it has been determined that the greatest threat to global climate change initiatives is - global climate change experts!

New B.P. CEO

Defamed oil giant British Petroleum has announced the name of its newly appointed CEO - American, Robert Dudley. Dudley will be come BP‘s first non-British chief executive when current CEO Tony Hayward officially steps down on Oct 1.

Currently BP‘s managing director, Dudley has been overseeing the response to the spill since Hayward‘s fall from grace.

“There‘s no question we are going to learn things from the investigation of the incident,” he said, pledging to remain committed to the Gulf of Mexico.

BP will work diligently to restore its reputation, he added with gusto.

(Unfortunately that reputation includes having one of the worst safety and environmental records in history, including taking risks and cutting corners for profit, and a chronic unwillingness to learn from mistakes.

There are also allegations that in 2007 the company lobbied the British government to release the convicted Libyan mass murderer in the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am flight over Lockerbie, Scotland, that killed nearly 300 people, in an effort to get drilling permission from Libya.)

But, other than that…

Slow News Day?

A Chatham, Ont., woman has been charged with assault after she punched her boyfriend twice in a dispute over a sandwich.

According to investigators -Yes, I said “investigators” - the victim made his girlfriend a sandwich. The woman only ate half of it. He asked her if he could finish the rest. She said, Yes. The woman later became angry that the last half of her sandwich was missing. She proceeded to punch him in the face.

This incident just goes to prove that the media will report almost anything!

Early Mob Activity

Workers are diligently removing plank by plank of the remains of an 18th century ship discovered buried near the World Trade Center site in New York. The vessel was uncovered earlier this month by workers excavating a parking garage.

It is thought the ship may have been buried there in the early 19th century by an early version of the Mafia, prior to the invention of cement.

Goonery Should Not Be Tolerated

Conservative MP Stockwell Day has called the protestors at the recent G20 Summit in Ontario “masked cowards who stood there cheering for their thuggish comrade smashing up private property.”

He applauded the man who was caught on video jumping the guy, setting aside his own safety to tackle the creep and stop his criminal behaviour.

He referred to the man who came to the rescue as Joe Citizen, saying it is about time that someone stood up to these “goons!”

Day then abruptly excused himself when Prime Minister Stephen Harper whistled for him.
